Celebration of Bengali New Year

Another year passed in bengali calender. With the sunrise, year 1419 emerged promising new hopes and resolutions.

 The city of Dhaka took a festive look maintaining almost 50 years old tradition. From the early hour   of 14th April, the grand celebration had begun. At early morning a team of musicians from  Chayanat performed in Ramna Botmul opened for all.

 Then the main interest the parade known as "Mongol Shova Jatra" started from Institute of Fine Arts,University of Dhaka. Thousands of people attended with masks,statues, banners and  festoons.
